Winchester Model 70 Bolt-Action Rifle in .30-06 Springfield - A American bolt-action rifle featuring a blued steel barrel and receiver mounted in a checkered walnut stock. The left side of the barrel is stamped with a two-line mark: the upper line reads MADE IN NEW HAVEN, CONN. U.S. OF AMERICA — WINCHESTER — MODEL-70 — 30-06 SPFLD. — and the lower line reads — WINCHESTER PROOF STEEL — followed by TRADE MARK. The receiver is stamped with the serial number 530218 on the right side of the forward ring. The walnut stock is constructed with a Monte Carlo-style comb, a pistol grip, and a black plastic or hard rubber buttplate. The forend and grip areas feature impressed checkering in a diamond pattern. Fixed sights include a hooded front ramp and a folding leaf rear sight. A black scope is mounted to the receiver using a black metal base marked WILLIAMS. The scope is fitted with black leather lens caps secured by a green elastic band. A tan leather sling with brass-toned metal hardware and adjustment holes is attached to integrated swivels on the underside of the stock. A hand-written inventory tag attached to the trigger guard reads Winchester Model 70 cal. 30-06 Sn: 530218. Overall length measures approximately 44.5 inches.
