Remington Model 700-PSS Bolt Action Rifle with MDT JAE-G5 Chassis System and Target Scope - A Remington Model 700-PSS bolt-action rifle chambered in .308 Winchester. The rifle features a heavy profile barrel and is mounted in a black MDT JAE-G5 modular chassis system. The receiver is clearly roll-marked Remington MODEL 700 - PSS on the left side, followed by a deeper engraving reading PROPERTY CITY OF LOS ANGELES LAPD. SWAT TEAM. The right side of the barrel is marked 308 WIN. and includes a stamped proof mark consisting of an E within a circle, followed by P, C, and a numerical code. The receiver bears the serial number C6737763. The MDT JAE-G5 chassis includes a textured grip, adjustable cheek riser, and a multi-position buttstock. The forend is equipped with multiple M-LOK slots and a bottom rail. The rifle is fitted with a large-diameter objective target scope featuring exposed tactical turrets for windage and elevation adjustments, a side focus knob, and yellow translucent flip-up lens covers. The scope is mounted via heavy-duty four-screw rings. Included with the lot is the original black synthetic stock, which features an attached Harris-style bipod and a black leather sling with multiple adjustment perforations. A group of three MDT 10-round polymer AICS-pattern magazines in their original retail packaging is included. The packaging indicates these are for Short Action .308/6.5 Creedmoor with a 2.850 inch maximum COAL. Also included is a factory MDT JAE-G5 Chassis System user manual. A yellow paper tag is attached to the trigger guard with string, hand-written Remington Model 700 L.A.P.D. SWAT TEAM cal .308 WIN S/N C6737763. A secondary smaller tan tag is present reading R.M. 8/19. The rifle is shown resting on a vintage canvas sandbag marked TARA CORP INDUSTRIES, INC. Granite City, Illinois. Measurements: The overall length is 43.75 inches as measured from the buttpad to the muzzle. The MDT magazines measure 4.75 inches in height and 3.125 inches in width.
