Safety Harbor Firearms SHTF 50 Bolt Action 50 BMG Upper on DPMS Lower Receiver - A bolt-action rifle chambered in .50 BMG, constructed as a magazine-fed upper receiver conversion for a standard AR-15 style lower. The upper receiver is finished in a parkerized olive drab tone and is marked in recessed characters on the left side of the magazine well: SHTF 50 / SAFETY HARBOR FIREARMS, INC. / CAL. .50 BMG. The upper features a side-loading magazine port on the left, a multi-lug bolt with a down-turned handle, and a black-finished vented tubular handguard. The rifle is fitted with a 29-inch heavy barrel terminating in a large, four-port muzzle brake. Mounted to the upper receiver via a raised Picatinny rail is a BSA Contender scope. The lower receiver is finished in black and bears the manufacturer's stamp on the left side of the magazine well reading: D.P.M.S. / ST. CLOUD, MN / U.S.A. Above the trigger guard, the characters SN 52815V are visible, and on the right side, the marking PATENT 6,212,814 is present. The rifle is equipped with a fixed A2-style polymer buttstock, a textured Ergo-style pistol grip, and a folding bipod attached to the underside of the handguard. A single detached box magazine is included. An adhesive label on the scope eyepiece reads BSA CONTENDER. A brown paper tag attached to the trigger guard contains handwritten information repeating the model and serial number.
