Tanned Striped Skunk Pelt with Head and Claws - A full-bodied pelt of a striped skunk (Mephitis mephitis), professionally tanned and prepared in a rug-style format. The fur displays the characteristic natural coloration, featuring a dense black coat with two prominent white stripes that originate at the head and converge towards the tail. The specimen includes the head, four paws with attached claws, and a bushy, predominantly white tail. The underside consists of supple, light ochre or tan-colored leather. The leather surface shows no readable maker's marks, stamps, or labels. The total length measures approximately 34 inches from the nose to the tip of the tail, with the body portion measuring approximately 20 inches and the tail extending an additional 14 inches. The width at the widest point across the front limbs is approximately 14 inches.
