Vintage Mink Pelt Taxidermy Rug - A vintage taxidermy pelt rug featuring the hide of a mink or similar small mustelid. The fur is a glossy medium brown with natural variation and a dark brown dorsal stripe. The pelt includes the head with whiskers and a long, tapering tail. Distinctive white patches are visible under the chin and on the undersides of the limbs. The pelt is mounted flat in an open-skin style onto a black felt backing with a scalloped or pinked edge. The underside of the felt backing is plain black fabric. No maker marks, labels, or tags are visible on the fur or the backing.
