Squirrel Pelt Flat Rug Mount on Felt Backing - A taxidermy squirrel pelt prepared as a flat rug mount. The specimen features natural coloration including grizzled gray and brown fur across the back, a prominent reddish-brown dorsal stripe extending toward the tail, and cream-colored fur on the undersides and limbs. The hide is mounted onto a black felt backing with decorative pinked edges that follow the anatomical silhouette of the animal. The head is flattened and features dark glass eyes. A clear semi-circular support piece is visible beneath the jaw area. The backing is secured to the pelt with visible metal staples at the head and the base of the tail.
