Ground Squirrel Taxidermy Rug Mount on Felt Backing - A taxidermy rug mount of a small mammal, characterized by tan and gray mottled fur on the back and a lighter cream-colored underside. The pelt is mounted to a black felt backing featuring a decorative pinked, scalloped edge. The head is preserved with visible ears and eyes, and the tail is intact. The underside of the mount shows the black felt backing, which is secured to the pelt with staples visible around the perimeter. A small metal eyelet or circular opening is present at the base of the tail section on the felt backing. No maker marks, labels, or signatures are visible on the pelt or the backing.
