Belknap Galvanized Steel Hot Dipped Round Wash Tub - A vintage American galvanized steel round wash tub featuring a spangled finish produced by the hot dipping process. The tub is constructed with horizontal strengthening ribs and two metal drop-ring handles secured with riveted brackets. Affixed to the front is a rectangular orange and black paper label with a stylized script reading Belknap above the text FULL WEIGHT and HOT DIPPED. The lower portion of the label reads BELKNAP HARDWARE & MFG. COMPANY LOUISVILLE — KENTUCKY. The label also features two yellow bell icons at the upper corners; the left bell is printed with NAP and the right bell is printed with KNAP. Near the upper rim, the characters 16E 12- are hand-written in black ink. The interior of the tub features concentric circular ridges at the base.
