Belknap Model T17-719 Red Painted Steel Tool Box with Removable Tray - A vintage portable tool box constructed of red painted steel, manufactured for Belknap of Louisville, Kentucky. The rectangular box features a hinged lid secured by a full-length piano hinge and a single silver-tone metal drawbolt latch at the front center. A folding silver-tone handle is mounted to the top. The interior contains two fixed side brackets that support a removable red steel lift-out tote tray equipped with integral handles at each end. The lower left front of the box features a white printed mark consisting of the name Belknap in a stylized script, above the text: Manufactured for Belknap / Louisville, KY 40202 / Model T17-719. A small, partially torn tan adhesive paper label is present on the lid near the handle, bearing printed text including the words FARMERS and TOOL BOX BELKNAP.
