A Pair of Towle Sterling Silver Cream Soup Spoons in the Candlelight Pattern - A pair of sterling silver cream soup spoons in the Candlelight pattern produced by Towle Silversmiths. The pattern, originally introduced in 1934, features an ornamental scrolled floral border along the handle edges flanking a polished central vertical panel. The reverse of each bowl is decorated with a fluted shell motif at the junction of the handle and bowl. The central handle panels are blank and have never been engraved with a monogram. The reverse of the handles contain stamped marks. One spoon is marked TOWLE STERLING Pat. 1934 followed by a registered trademark symbol and the pattern name Candlelight. The second spoon features the Towle maker mark (a stylized T within a lion), followed by TOWLE STERLING, a registered trademark symbol, and Candlelight. Length: 6 3/8 inches Weight: 52 grams.
