A Set of Four Haviland Limoges Hand Painted Porcelain Footed Dishes Signed M. Blanche Lenzi - This set of four fine porcelain pedestal bowls or compotes was manufactured by Haviland and Co. in Limoges, France. Each piece features a shallow, scalloped bowl supported by a tapered stem and a flared, six-pointed star-shaped foot. The rims and the entirety of the pedestal bases are decorated with a heavy gold wash. The interior rims are finished with a delicate border of gilded dots. Each dish is hand-painted with a unique floral motif, including pink and purple roses, purple and yellow pansies, white blossoms with yellow centers, and blue blossoms. The bases of the pieces bear the green underglaze factory mark Haviland France. One piece is signed in red-orange hand-painted script M. BLANCHE LENZI - NORRISTOWN - PA - and the other three pieces are signed with the initials MBL in the same script. Rim Diameter: 4 inches Height: 3 inches.
