A Collection of Norman Rockwell Inspired Bisque Porcelain Figurines by Gorham and The Norman Rockwell Museum - This collection consists of hand-painted bisque porcelain figurines based on the illustrations of Norman Rockwell. The group includes pieces from various authorized series produced by the Gift World of Gorham and The Norman Rockwell Museum. Item 1: The Puppet Maker. This figurine depicts an elderly artisan in a brown vest and white apron operating two marionettes: a gentleman in a red frock coat and a lady in a yellow gown. The marionettes are suspended by fine wire strings. The underside of the base is marked The Puppet Maker, GORHAM 1985 CPC, and hand-numbered as a Limited Edition of 7,500 pieces, number 895. It includes a red and silver foil sticker from Gift World of Gorham, Made in Japan. Item 2: Bride and Groom. Part of The American Family series, this figurine features a young couple in wedding attire. The groom wears a blue suit and the bride is in a white ruffled gown with a veil. The underside is marked 1981, The Norman Rockwell Museum, Inc. and carries the official museum seal. A retailer sticker from First Capitol Trading Post, St. Charles, is present. Item 3: Christmas Dancers. This figurine depicts a man in a red coat and yellow breeches dancing with a woman in a pale green dress and white cap on a circular wood-grain style base. It is inspired by the December 8, 1928, Saturday Evening Post cover painting. The base is marked From the Gift World of Gorham 1981 S.E.P. and hand-numbered 0746 / 7500. Item 4: The Kite Maker. This figurine shows a boy in a yellow hat painting a face onto a newspaper kite, accompanied by a girl and a small dog. The underside is marked 1984, The Norman Rockwell Museum, Inc. and includes the Norman Rockwell Museum Seal of Authenticity and a Made in Taiwan sticker. Christmas Dancers: 8 inches (H) x 4.75 inches (W) at the base.
