Two Pieces of Ruby Glass including a Bohemian Compote and a 1917 Souvenir Mug - A collection of two ruby glass items including a pedestal compote and a souvenir mug. The Bohemian ruby glass pedestal bowl or compote features a deep ruby red body decorated with intricate white scrolling foliate and arabesque patterns throughout the interior and across the exterior rim. The piece is supported by a matching ruby glass stem and a footed base featuring a coordinating white decorative band. The base is ground and polished with a slightly concave center. The souvenir mug is constructed of clear glass at the base and handle with a ruby stained body finished in a multi-colored metallic iridescence. The body is hand-engraved with the name Mildred and the date 1917. The clear glass base is decorated with a pressed pattern of sunburst motifs contained within circles.
