Norleans Italian Ceramic Cobalt Blue and Gold Cherub Lidded Urn - This is a footed and lidded ceramic decorative urn produced in Italy and distributed by Norleans. The vessel features a boat-shaped body supported by a pedestal base. It is decorated with high-relief molded scenes depicting several cherubs in a pastoral or mythological setting. Two figural handles in the form of cherubs are molded onto the scalloped rim of the bowl. The matching domed lid is topped with a finial shaped like a seated cherub. The piece utilizes a cobalt blue and white glaze palette, with the blue concentrated in recessed areas and around the rims to highlight the white relief figures. Gold gilt accents are applied to the scalloped edges of the vessel, the lid rim, and the pedestal base.
