Silvertone Model 51 Radio-Phonograph Console for Sears, Roebuck and Co., 1950 - SHIPPING NOT AVAILABLE, FOR PICK UP OR TRANSPORT ONLY - This is a mid-century Silvertone radio-phonograph console manufactured for Sears, Roebuck and Co. An internal service label identifies this unit as Catalog No. 51 with Chassis No. 132.887 and bears a red date stamp of June 14, 1950. The wooden cabinet is finished in a dark-stained mahogany veneer, exhibiting a rectangular form consistent with mid-century modern design. The front face features a rectangular, yellowed horizontal radio dial for Standard Broadcast AM frequencies ranging from 55 to 160. Below the dial are three control knobs labeled Volume, Phono-Radio, and Tuning. A central pull-out drawer houses a Silvertone branded record changer. The lower portion of the cabinet contains a speaker compartment featuring a geometric diamond-lattice grille. The rear view shows a 5-tube AM radio chassis with a tube complement of 12SA7 GT, 12SK7 GT, 12SQ7 GT, 35L6 GT, and 35Z5 GT.
