A Pair of Frankfort Distilling Co. Rare Antique Zodiac Series Ceramic Whiskey Decanters - This lot comprises two relief-molded glazed ceramic whiskey decanters from the Rare Antique zodiac series produced for the Frankfort Distilling Co. of Louisville, Kentucky, circa 1970. Each decanter features a dual-sided design representing different signs of the zodiac. The first decanter is finished in a glossy brown glaze; one side features a relief-molded ram with the embossed text ARIES, while the reverse side depicts a set of scales for LIBRA with the corresponding zodiac symbol on the neck. The second decanter is finished in a glossy emerald green glaze; one side depicts a sea-goat for CAPRICORN with the zodiac symbol on the neck, while the reverse features a stylized shell motif with the embossed text CANCER and the corresponding symbol on the neck. Both items are of a flattened circular form with a flared rim and include matching ceramic stoppers. Each retains an original black and silver-toned paper label on the base. The labels identify the contents as 10-year-old Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey, 86 proof, bottled by Frankfort Distilling Co.
