Two Pieces of Clear Decorative Glass Including an American Brilliant Period Style Cut Glass Loving Cup and a Ribbed Pedestal Compote - This lot consists of two pieces of clear decorative glass. The first item is a tall, two-handled vase in the American Brilliant Period (ABP) style, commonly referred to as a loving cup. The body features complex geometric cutting with large central hobstars, cross-hatched diamond fields, and fan-cut motifs. The twin C-scroll handles are decorated with notched thumbprint cutting, and the piece is finished with a deep sawtooth rim and a multi-pointed rayed base. The second item is a lidded pedestal compote or sweetmeat jar crafted from clear pressed glass. It features a vertical ribbed or fluted design on the bowl, the domed lid, and the flared pedestal base. The lid is topped with a faceted, pointed finial, and a scalloped wafer connector joins the bowl to the foot. No maker marks are visible on either piece.
