Star Stoneware Company 2-Gallon Two-Tone Stoneware Jug - This is a 2-gallon stoneware jug produced by the Star Stoneware Company of Crooksville, Ohio. The vessel features a cylindrical form with a rounded shoulder and a single loop handle attached at the neck. It is finished with a two-tone glaze, characterized by a dark brown Albany-type slip on the upper portion and a cream-colored glaze on the lower body. The front of the jug displays a cobalt blue stenciled mark consisting of a circular border surrounding a five-pointed star, with the numeral 2 positioned in the center to denote capacity.
