Hollywood Regency-Style Gondola Sofa - Date: Late 20th or early 21st century Period/Style: Hollywood Regency Revival Materials: Wood with distressed dark and gilt-toned finish, woven fabric upholstery, metal nailheads and casters Form: Gondola sofa Description: A Hollywood Regency-style gondola sofa with a continuous bowed back and dramatically flared ends outlined by molded wood trim in a distressed dark and gilt-toned finish. A single long seat cushion rests above a box-pleated skirt, with rows of metal nailheads defining the upholstery borders and front rail. Vertical upholstered panels on the reverse are accented with decorative buttons. Loose pillows combine diamond-patterned and floral fabrics with fringe trim. The sofa stands on casters.
