Neoclassical Painted 3-Part Dining Table - Period/Style: Neoclassical, Adam taste Materials: Paint-decorated wood, polished hardwood tops and metal hinges Form: Three-part dining table, rectangular center and two demilune end tables with hinged leaves Description: Three-part dining table in the Adam taste, consisting of a rectangular center table and two demilune end tables, each with a hinged leaf along its straight edge. Polished wood tops contrast with green-painted frames and golden-ochre friezes decorated with classical urns and draped swags. Tapered legs have fluted collars and gold-colored accents. Geometric stretcher bases carry turned urn finials at their intersections. The three sections repeat the decorative vocabulary of the accompanying chair and sideboard lots. Dimensions: 30 in. H; section size 49 x 42 in.; overall extended length 136 in. (11 ft. 4 in.).
