Moore period Period/Style: Victorian floral repousse Materials: Sterling silver with nonmetallic handle insulators Form: Five-piece tea and coffee service Description: Tiffany & Co. five-piece sterling silver tea and coffee service comprising a tall coffee pot, low teapot, covered two-handled sugar bowl, cream jug and waste bowl. The rounded bodies carry chased and repousse bands of flowers, serrated leaves and scrolling foliage above lobed lower borders and circular feet. The coffee pot rises through a spiral-fluted neck beneath a scalloped band. Domed covers have fluted bud finials, with similarly decorated spouts and loop handles. Pattern no. 1982. Marks: TIFFANY & CO. / 1982 MAKERS / STERLING-SILVER / 925-1000 / M, with varying order numbers including 5629, 6309 and 6464. Dimensions: Coffee pot: 8.5 in. H, 8 in. W. Teapot: 5 in. H, 9.5 in. W.
