The lamp has an embossed metal font and burner raised on a variegated marble or onyx column above an ornate pierced quadrupedal base. Fitted with a large opaline glass globe shade decorated with three putti or cherubs among clouds, enclosed by scrolling brown linework. The shade may be a period replacement or later association. Dimensions: 23 in. H, 6 in. base diameter, 8.5 in. shade diameter. Shipping note: Stevens Auction Company does not provide packing or shipping services. Globe shade has light scratches, soiling, and minor wear to the decoration, with no obvious major crack observed. Chimney is absent, and several chimney supports appear bent. Burner and mechanical components have not been tested.
