The lamp has an embossed metal font and burner raised on a variegated marble or onyx column above an ornate pierced quadrupedal base. Fitted with a large opaline glass globe shade decorated with three putti or cherubs among clouds, enclosed by scrolling brown linework. The shade may be a period replacement or later association.
