The exterior is cast in high relief with a continuous Bacchanalian procession of classical figures, attendants, and putti among grape clusters, vines, drapery, and vessels. Underside exhibits a substantial crack or separation in the base plate, an old triangular metal patch, associated surface distortion, and areas of green corrosion.
