The upper register contains a dual Fahrenheit and centigrade thermometer beneath glass, above a circular barometer dial labeled Stormy, Rain, Change, Fair, and Very Dry. The oak backboard is carved with a foliate crest, scrolling shoulders, floral ornament, and a shaped lower terminal. The reverse retains its circular metal mechanism cover and hanging loop.
