American Mahogany Revival Pedestal Table - Date: Late 19th century, circa 1880 Origin: American Materials: Mahogany and mahogany veneer Form: Pedestal occasional table Description: An American late nineteenth-century mahogany occasional table with a circular molded-edge top raised on a ring-turned pedestal. The lower standard is surrounded by three radiating supports carved with stylized fan or palmette ornament, continuing to angular knees and curved splayed feet, with a pendant finial below. The compact scale and revival interpretation of Regency tripod furniture support the circa 1880 date. No maker label is visible. Dimensions: 29 in. H x 16 in. diameter.
