Each has a square top above a boldly turned column with ribbed spherical nodes flanking an elongated tapering and faceted central section. The shaft terminates in a molded circular foot mounted on a square plinth. Glossy black ebonized surfaces emphasize the alternating geometric and rounded forms. Their matched construction, proportions, and surviving black surfaces present as a unified pair. Marks: No maker's mark observed. Dimensions: Each 38 in. H x 10.5 in. W x 10 in.
