The rider raises a long standard with a windblown pennant and carries a decorated shield at his side. The horse is fitted with relief-decorated tack and fine chain reins. Both figures rise from a naturalistic oval base centered by a broken tree stump and enclosed by a molded edge. The hollow perforated base and gray alloy are characteristic of period spelter casting.
