Each vase is modeled as a pierced flowering tree with paired winged putti climbing a small ladder beside birds and nests. The shaped bowl has open handles, scroll-molded borders, a raised foot, painted floral sprays, and applied rose garlands. Cream-colored grounds are enriched throughout with muted polychrome enamels and gilt highlights. Marks: Pieces bear a red painted interlaced monogram and pattern number 6960 B. Retaining partial foil labels reading HAND PAINTED, LENWILE CHINA, ARDALT, and JAPAN. Dimensions: Centerpiece 5 in. H x 14 in. W x 8.5 in. D. Each vase 10 in. H x 6 in. W x 4 in.
