Materials: Silver-plated metal Form: Collection of ten figural napkin or linen rings Description: A collection of ten fanciful silver-plated napkin rings in assorted figural and novelty forms. The group includes a woman pushing a barrel, a crested bird, a kangaroo, a boy or clown with a dog, paired animals supporting an engraved ring, a floral-engraved ring on a circular pierced base, a girl carrying a basket, a barrel-form ring with coin-shaped medallion, a web-engraved handled ring on branch-form supports, and a dachshund supporting a floral ring. Several rings have bright-cut, engraved, or relief floral decoration, and one bears a script name. Marks: Two examples marked AURORA SILVER PLATE. Applied figures and supports appear generally intact, although scattered looseness or old repairs may be present. The dachshund example has pronounced plating loss.
