The carved and black-painted male attendant figure wears parcel-gilt jewelry, a feathered skirt, and a turban while supporting an upright torch-form element surmounted by a sweeping plume that braces the top. The figure stands on a hexagonal plinth raised on three outward-scrolling acanthus-carved legs. The shaped console top has a molded gilt border surrounding a pale blue-green painted field decorated with a central scrolling foliate cartouche. Marks: Underside stamped MADE IN ITALY.
