American Classical Cherry Chest of Drawers with Turned Columns - Mid-19th century American Classical (Empire) chest of drawers in richly figured cherry, featuring a case with bold turned and ringed columnar supports flanking the façade, over four graduated drawers fitted with original turned wooden knobs. The drawer fronts exhibit well-selected walnut grain with strong natural figuring, and the case retains a warm, even patina. Secondary woods visible in drawer interiors and backboards, with hand-cut joinery consistent with the period. Clean, rectilinear top above a shallow upper drawer and three larger drawers, raised on turned feet. 54 in H x 44 in W x 22 in D Condition: Overall good antique condition with expected wear; surface scratching and finish variation to top, minor abrasions and age marks throughout, scattered small losses and imperfections; drawers functioning properly; backboards original with wear.
