Alan Flattmann - Distinguished artist and teacher who illuminated pastel’s virtually unlimited possibilities. He is a native New Orleanais who studied at the John McCrady Art School on a New Orleans Art Association (NOAA) Scholarship. He is a recipient of the American Artist Art Masters Award for pastels and the Masters Pastel List distinction by the Pastel Society of America. He is a Pastel Society of Americas Hall of Fame Honoree and is an Eminent Pastelist in the International Associated of Pastel Societies. Born in 1946 Alan Flattmann over a 40 year career span has become and recognized as one of the most influential and respected pastel artist in the country.
