An important collection of letters from the greatest Hebrew writers of the 20th century


An important collection of about 50 letters from the estate of author Asher Israel. In the collection, letters on literary and personal issues from great writers and intellectuals in the 20th century - the friends of Ben Israel.


Among the authors whose letters appear in the collection:


Prof. David Yelin [1864-1941The Hebrew Researcher, Head of the Yishuv, one of the founders of the Teachers' Union and the Hebrew Language Committee; The Orientalist and Professor Yosef Yoel Rivlin [1889-1971]; the poet and literary critic Yaakov Yehoshua Kopelevich [published in the name Shuron Keshet 1893-1977]; children's author, translator and educator Yitzhak Spivak [his literary nicknames 'Isaac Ben Asher' or J. Most of the letters are handwritten and signed by the writers, a small number of which are printed with the signatures of the writers. Some of the letters are attached their photographs.


The collection has not been thoroughly examined by us.
