Rabbi Meir David HaCohen Kahana [1932-1990] Rabbi, Israeli-American journalist and politician, 11th Knesset member and far-right leader. Founder of the "League for Jewish Defense in the United States" and the "Kach" movement in Israel. He headed the "Jewish Idea" yeshiva he founded, and author of books of thought. Rabbi Kahana was assassinated at the end of a speech he delivered in New York by a Muslim assassin, al-Sayyid Nussair, from the al-Qaeda terrorist organization.
