Shu"t HaAlshich HaKadosh, Venice, 1605. First Edition. Signatures.

She'elot U'Teshuvot by the renowned gaon Rabbi Moshe Alshich, proofread and printed by his son Rabbi Chaim Alshich, about fifty years after the father's passing, in Venice, 1605, at Jaun di Gara's press.

In the preface to his book Torat Moshe, the author of Alshich writes about his two occupations, one being in-depth halachah, and the other, in drush. This is the halachic work, a collection of 140 of his responsa.

The title page bears his signature: "The youth, Yuda Levi." On the flyleaf at the end of the book, there is a calligraphic signature: "... הכ"ד המופלא והמופלג עושה פלא כ"ה נתן...".

[1], 243 leaves. Approximately 20 cm.

Fine condition. Minimal dampstains and aging stains. The title page is torn and lacking, with adhesions. Minimal worming perforations.

Some cropped titles. Rubbed antique leather-covered wood binding.
