Various legal documents, mostly in stencil printing and handwritten signatures, on behalf of the Waqf itself requesting a delay in plans for its sacred lands in the Ein Karem area, and answers given by representatives representing the State of Israel regarding this expropriation, inquiries regarding land affiliation in the Ein Karem area, Regarding the maps of the area marked by the JNF, etc. Most of the documents are dated - different months in 1957.

In the introduction to Yitzhak Reiter's book "The Waqf in Jerusalem 1948-1990" - published by the Jerusalem Institute in 1991, he writes: "The Waqf in Jerusalem has an exaggerated image of an institution with economic power, which stems of its control over real estate, which during the Ottoman period was a considerable part of the city, and from funding a significant portion of the infrastructure of religious, educational and welfare services in the east of the city. The Waqf institution is shrouded in an aura of religious sanctity and its subordination to Muslim law ostensibly blocks any possibility of selling or transferring its assets. Therefore, he was granted a kind of immunity from government intervention ... Already during the Mandate, and more prominently during the Jordanian period, it became clear that the religious sanctity was repressed by the daily economic reality that requires Waqf management to sell Waqf assets when necessary, agree to public expropriation and even plan a change of designation. Cemeteries for the purpose of their economic development". See there at length about the legal validity of the Waqf assets in Jerusalem.
