Early, privately-printed German "declaration", 1p. 4to., ca. mid-1930's, reads in part: "...I declare under oath...after thorough examination of the documents available to me, no circumstances are known which could justify the assumption that I and my wife are Jewish or Jewish mixed-race...I am also aware that if this declaration turns out to be incorrect, I have to expect prosecution..." Unengrossed, fine condition. In later years such form became government-issued and far more elaborate.
