GROUPING OF JEWISH ORIGANIZATIONS' PINS MADE BY GERMAN MAKER DEUMER, 1912 TO 1934 (22)
An extraordinary assemblage of 22 enameled metal pins made by German medal manufacturer Wilhelm Deumer, Luedenscheid, removed directly from Deumer's sample boards by a German collector of Judaica in 2001. The pins, averaging about .5 inches across, include a number of true rarities including a pin (still attached to a section of the sample board) from the Reichsbund Juedischer Frontsoldaten ("Reich Federation of Jewish Front-Line Soldiers", RJF), an organization of German Jewish soldiers, along with a second associated "RJF pin, a Jewish rowing club, the Jewish Journeyman's Union, the Jewish Theater Critic Association, various Zionist organizations, and many we have not been able to identify. The pins are assembled were all assembled chronologically by a devoted German collector of Judaica whose collection was assembled over a 30+ year span. Each pin is labeled on the reverse with its first year of manufacture and its Deumer production number. Additionally, the collector provided a description (in German) as to the history of this grouping. He notes that at the end of 2001, when Deumer closed its doors, albums bearing association pins from 1906 to 1938 became available. He examined these sample board albums, and states that of the thousands of pins present, these were the only ones with a Jewish association. Undoubtedly some of these badges, which are in pristine condition, are now unique on the market. A very rare opportunity for the collector and researcher alike,
