WORLD WAR I "YOM KIPPUR" CAP BADGE
Excessively rare World War I cap badge worn by Jewish-German soldiers in the field, this example being of stamped metal, 1.5 in. across and bearing tablets above text: "4. JOM KIPUR 1917" Fine. Most such badges related to various battle locations, fronts, or military units, but some were associated with "Christmas in the field", or in this case, Yom Kippur. Undoubtedly, very few of these badges survived World War I, let alone the exterminations of the following war. From a 30+ year German collection of Judaica.
