KAREN KAJAMET PALESTINIAN SETTLEMENT MOVEMENT PIN
Rare pin issued by the "Karen Kajamet" Zionist movement, an agricultural settlement movement which hoped to resettle Jews in Palestine. The pin measures about 1 in. across and shows a figure with a spade reaching toward a rising sun. The edge of the pin bears Hebrew text, not translated. The pin, probably silver but not marked, bears a screw-type attachment on the reverse, indicating Russian construction ca. 1912-20. Very good.
