TUBERCULOSIS LEAFLET IN HEBREW AND GERMAN, 1910
Ca. 1910 leaflet issued to warn immigrant Eastern European Jews coming to Germany of the dangers of tuberculosis. The 4pp. 4to. leaflet, issued by the office of "Women's Care" in Frankfurt, is printed in German and a text which is neither Hebrew nor Yiddish, but actually almost pure German with only a few Yiddish elements for pronunciation. This was likely done for those immigrants who spoke German but had not yet mastered the Latin alphabet. Water stain at bottom, else very good. Rare!
