Set of a death notice sent from Mauthausen concentration camp to a deceased man's wife and an attached letter telling the wife about the ashes, urn and the condition to pick it up in the camp. Sad story about Franz Nowak. Condition is a bit poor due to humidity but it's perfectly readable and of high historical value. This was the normal procedure when an inmate died: they sent a death notice to the relatives fooling them about the way prisoners actually died (always starved, mistreated. The ashes could be collected after cremation of the body. We found in the German archives also one more document about this man from KL Mauthausen (see last two photos) (of course just copy not included )
