Jewish ceremonial flags hand made from 2 pieces used to deacorate a synagogue in Lodz Poland. High quality flag made from silk and beautiful embroidery that depicts a Jewish Star of David and texts in Hebrew and 2 lions protecting it. Gift from Efraiem David son of Yaakov Cochen Wainberg 1935. Inside the star we can see the Moses' Tablets of Stone, were the 10 Commandments were written by God and handed to Moses to give the people the laws to live together in peace and harmony. Flag is in very good condition and it was saved miraculously from the Shoah. A true museum piece of the almost destroyed Jewish community in Europe during the Holocaust! Around 200 cm x 110 cm.Flag never was washed selling it the way we found it. You can also see a stamp from the Jewish cotton factory in Ozorków near Łódź. We recommend the best museums or private collections bid on this, the item is really very special and unique. Unfortunately, the picture does not show the size and beauty of both these flags.
