WWII Document Set - Escaped German Jew - Rabbi
Rare set of documents from a German Jew named Reinhard Rosenbaum who managed to escape Germany in the early 30's and lived in USA. Set contains different documents including letters to a senator in Houston, Texas, a money check dated 1946 with carbon copy, and a petition letter to a senator regarding a visa for his brother who was still living in Berlin. This was all done through a Jewish association in Texas by a Rabbi Cohen. This letter comes with original envelope. Also included is a paper asking for a duplicate drivers license in Texas, tax related paper, and a letter from Reinhard Rosenbaum thanking the Rabbi Cohen for his kindness regarding the efforts he was doing to save his brother from Nazism in Germany dated 1937.There are also 8 different money order receipts dated 1933 and 1934 in Berlin. A very interesting set of a Jewish man who saved himself from the Holocaust.
