Original Photo Postcard from the Photoshop Tzadok Bassan and in it a Portrait of Rabbi Isak Unna
Tzadok Bassan was active between 1882-1956, got known as the first Jewish photographer born in the Land of Israel and resident photographer of the community of the old Jewish population in Jerusalem. Studied at the famed "Tree of Life" yeshiva while also studying photography. Before he was 20 years old he purchased a studio in the old city, later he even opened a respectable "photoshop" of is own in the Havashim street. We owe Tzadok Bassan hundreds of spectacular photos some of the are landmarks of the life of the old Yishuv, people and institutions. His photos are regarded of first class collector value. Bassan used to mark his paintings by a delicate seal on the photos' edges Rabbi Isak Unמa (February 1872 - May 1948) was the Rabbi of Manheim, chairman of the association of
community Orthodox Rabbis in Germany, member of the Jewish Agency and in late life a member of the Rabbi Council of Jerusalem.
Rabbi Unna passed away in the middle of the War of Independence and due to the struggles of the war was buried in his yard and four years later he was moved to the Sanhedria Graveyard. Very good condition.‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬
