Marilyn Monroe Signed Richard Avedon Photo Collection - 7 original photograph collection, measuring approximately, 11"x9" includes white border.
Taken in 1950's, printed 2000 on a cotton type photogragh paper. They come stamped by the photographer and signed and dedicated. The photographs are printed on double weight professional paper. They have some aging on the verso and small creases on the edges but otherwise in good condition with the photographs being sharp. This collection comes with an original signed letter regarding the Marilyn photographs. The person was a big fan of Marilyn and had met Richard Avedon at a book signing and mentioned she was a huge fan of Marilyn and if Mr Avedon found it in his BIG heart to send her a Marilyn photograph as a gift, she went on to say you are the BEST photographer in history and I really love you and your work. Seven photographs arrived with a letter not long after the meeting. Note: This lot was previously won in our Nov 23 2019 auction by non-paying bidder Wieland Goetze/Roland Freyer of Germany.
