Chomat Ana"ch. Chid"a. Rare First Edition. Pisa, 1803-1804
Torah Nevi'im Ketuvim with the "Chomat Anach" commentary by Rabbi Chaim Yosef David Azoulay - Chid"a. First edition of the renowned work by the Chid"a, printed in his old age.
The set before us contains leaves which are not listed in the Bibliography of the Hebrew Book entry no. 000304896, nor by Meir Benayahu in his book on the Chid"a.
Following is a detailed list of the volumes and the leaves:
Part I: Torah. [2], 251, 60 leaves. With the five scrolls and the haftarahs, and a calendar for 80 years. Lacking the usual title page; in its place there is a leaf with a large emblem of the printer's device. (Without the 2 leaves of Chomah Nisgevah.)
Part II: Early Prophets. 176 leaves, with the final leaf containing the list of haftarahs for each year according to all the customs.
Part III: Later Prophets. 190 leaves.
Part IV: Writings. [2], 217 [13] leaves. With "Chomah Nisgevah," the title page between the "Chomot," closing words from the printers and a poem praising the Chid"a; and with the study schedule - annual division of Torah, Nevi'im, Ketuvim and Mishnahs.
20 cm. M. Benayahu,ֲ Sifrei HaChid"a 40.
Overall fine-very fine condition.
