A special note for the 50th anniversary of the State of Israel, 5768, which contains a sheet of 3 notes worth NIS 50.
The special note, bearing the 1998 issue year, is a one-off and unusual version of the note with the portrait of SJ Agnon. This bill was chosen for its symbolism - NIS 50, against the 50th anniversary. Unlike the standard banknotes, the special value of the special note is printed with a special colored ink (OVI) which changes its color as you change the angle of view.
Maximum issue amount of special notes: 20,000, of which 9,999 are in triplets of undistributed notes, bearing the numbers from 00001 to 09999.
