Miniature Torah Scroll Pedigreed – Written in the commandment of Rabbi Aharon Rata for longevity and complete medicine

Miniature Torah Scroll, ink on parchment. Hassidic script with serifs. Written by the Jerusalemite scribe Rabbi Moshe Shmuel Weberman. Jerusalem, 1930s.

For approx. 80 years, since its writing, the book had belonged to the Roth family. It was written after the advice of the the rebbe Rabbi Ahron Roth "Shomer Emunim" for the health of the family member Rabbi Alter Chaim Roth (born in Shavuot 1897) the son of Rabbi Hillel Roth (the son of Rabbi David, born in 1877). The father, Rabbi Hillel, a pious Jew, immigrated to the Land of Israel in 1935. His son, rabbi Chaim, who was named after the Rebbe, author of "Divrei Chaim" of Sanz, immigrated in 1933. He suffered from muscular dystrophy and the Rebbe Rabbi Aharon Roth (who was his relative) promised him that his suffering in this world will buy him his part in the world to come. He also added the name "Alter" (old) to his name as a Segulah for longevity. The Rebbe also recommended that he buy a Torah scroll and his father, Rabbi Hillel, did so. Rabbi Moshe Shmuel Weberman, who was an expert scribe, wrote a miniature scroll that could be carried by Rabbi Chaim and which served as an amulet for his health. The miniature Torah Scroll was kept in various synagogues in Kefar Saba, Chadera and Netanya and was returned to the family after Rabbi Chaim's death.

Excellent condition. Rolled on original Atzei Chaim. Size of parchment: 18.5cm. Height of reporter 13 cm. Size of the Atzei Chaim: 39cm. with an original Torah mantle made of red silk, with an embroidery of a Torah crown and the Tablets and the inscription "Alter Chaim Ben Hillel Esther Ben Bat Mordechai". The kashruth of the book needs to be examined.
