Autobiography and Engagement Document – Rabbi Yerucham Asher Warhaftig
1. Autobiographic list – genealogy and life history of Rabbi Yerucham Asher Warhaftig, handwritten by himself when approaching old age. The author recalls his studies in the Yeshivas and under Rabbi Chaim of Brisk, of his marriage with the only daughter of Rabbi Ya'akov Zerach of Wolkowisk and of the dowry she brought. Of his ventures in the business world and his departure from it. Of his studies in the Novhardok Yeshiva, in the city of Warsaw and in B'nei Brak, of the contents of the books he authored and other matters. In the sheet margin, he notes to the editor of his books in a shaky hand that "I am describing my books and have no wish to embark on my personal history"
